Shawn Terán, MD, FAAPMR, is a Bay Area native originally from San Jose, CA. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency both at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Southern California where he received extensive training in management of musculoskeletal and neurological injury, as well as diagnosis of nerve injury through nerve conduction studies and electromyography (NCS/EMG).

As a practitioner of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, he strongly believes in treating the whole person, as each patient is different and brings with them a personal story and unique need. Helping patients regain functionality and improve quality of life is what Dr. Terán is most passionate about. His fluency in Spanish has helped him work closely with the Latino community, and his dedication and empathy when supporting his patients make him a strong ally to those who find themselves injured and in pain.
