Dr. Yoshida specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) for Workman’s Compensation patients. Dr. Yoshida completed PM&R residencies at the University of Virginia (Charlottesville) and Mie University School of Medicine (Tsu City, Japan). Before adding PM&R to his specializations, Dr. Yoshida trained and practiced Orthopedic Surgery in Japan. He expertly interprets X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI/MRA images to enhance musculoskeletal examination, diagnosis and treatment.
Prior to joining NMCI in 2016, Dr. Yoshida practiced medicine and taught PMR residents at Northwestern University, the former Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago now renamed Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (Illinois), Medical College of Wisconsin-Froedert Hospital (Wisconsin), Wayne State University (Michigan), as well as at major university hospitals in Japan.
Dr. Yoshida’s approach to PM&R is patient-centered, comprehensive, holistic care. His treatment modalities emphasize functional improvement, physical therapy and non-narcotic pain management. He lives in San Jose. His interests include world history and studying Spanish, French and Chinese languages.
